New Product Development & Item Set-up Administrator

We are currently seeking candidates for the position of New Product Development & Item Set-up Administrator.

The Product Development and Item Set-up Administrator is a member of a highly motivated team leading key strategic initiatives across the organization. Reporting to the existing product development and item set-up associate, the item set-up administrator will work closely with internal departments providing support during the project lifecycle, from project initiation through to execution and transition to regular operations. The administrator will need to develop a strong working knowledge of the Product Development and Commercialization processes. This position requires strong planning, analytical, negotiation and people skills to ensure the proper administrative support of all Chartered projects. The successful candidate will be resourceful and a creative problem solver, work individually as well as in a team environment, a quick learner with an ability to consistently meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced and changing work environment.

Responsibilities:

  •  Work to support the Sr. Manager New Product Development and Innovation;
  • Take ownership of all aspects of Product/Item set-up to ensure product commercialization deadlines are meet including but not limited to;
  • GTIN / UPC set-up; 
  • Internal Item set-up (Sage);
  • Master Product List ownership;
  • Sample coordination for GS1 photography;
  • Filling out all product specs into 60 day notice data file;
  • Assist in maintaining comprehensive product documentation including but not limited to;
  • Master Product Lifecycle Management [PLM] Tracker;
  • New Product Development / Innovation R&D roadmap Tracker;
  • Maintain and ensure data integrity in Organigram production systems for accurate planning reporting, forecasting, and analytics, with a focus on the electronic database for documents;
  • Assist in auditing projects throughout the year;
  • Create detailed meeting communications and circulate;
  • Highly effective project management, prioritization, multi-tasking, and time management skills;
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with different functional groups, business owners, and senior business leaders;
  • Collaborative team player with strong influencing skills who can build relationships across various stakeholder groups to move initiatives forward;
  • Entrepreneurial mindset;
  • Sense of urgency;
  • Ability to operate within an evolving and sometimes ambiguous environment;
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of proven experience in an administrative environment;
  • Ability to take directions;
  • Team orientation and willingness to roll up sleeves to solve complex, dynamic challenges;
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to support assumptions, recommendations and drive actions;
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to meet tight deadlines;
  • Demonstrated capability as a team player with strong interpersonal skills;
  • Customer service attitude;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Word).
